Designed for Emigre in 1995 by Zuzana Licko. Base-9 is one of series of font families which were designed for use in print and multimedia environments, with mutually compatible screen and printer fonts. Base-9 based on 9 point screen fonts, consisting of 8 individual faces. Although the design of these fonts was guided by a specific functional intent, the goal was also to create a comprehensive family of typefaces suitable for traditional print purposes. Cyrillic version developed for ParaType in 2002 by Gayaneh Bagdasaryan. |
