Description |
During the Mesolithic period, along with early visual signs and symbols, some rudimentary elements of pictography started to emerge. The images discovered in a prehistoric cave of Mas-d Azil, France. There is a great number of hipotheses explaining the purpose of the mysterious stones. They have been considered the vessels of the souls, the computational tools, the fortune-telling and magical symbols, the relics of prehistoric writing system. It is possible that the execution of those signs set off to the transition from the inbound process of perception to the outbound process of speach, and thus, to the "externalisation" of perception. The typeface design was based on those images. |
